Tbilisi City Hall denies information spread regarding hotel construction on Rike

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, while speaking with the media, denied the information spread by lawyer Irakli Abesadze that the company owning the "Rike Pipes" had applied to the City Hall with a request to change the recreational zone. Kaladze assessed the mentioned reports as "a lie" and stated that no such project has been submitted to the City Hall. Tbilisi City Hall's official statement notes that the information regarding a request for a permit for the construction of a 10-story hotel on the Rike territory is "a complete lie." According to the City Hall's explanation, an application for the approval of the planning task for the zoning regulation plan has been submitted to the Transport and Urban Development Agency, however, the application is not accompanied by a project proposal, an explanatory note, or a sketch version. 1TV+7
