61 foreign citizens illegally present in Georgia detained
- The Ministry of Internal Affairs' Migration Department detained 61 foreigners as a result of immigration control conducted across the country.
Imedi+2 - The detainees are citizens of Thailand, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Jordan, China, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Migration Department carried out special immigration control measures across the country. According to the agency, as a result of inspecting facilities for various purposes, 61 foreign citizens illegally present in Georgia were detained. Imedi+2
Among the detainees are citizens of Thailand, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Jordan, China, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. As imedinews, 1tv, formula, and rustavi2 report, it was determined during the inspection that the aforementioned individuals were in Georgia in violation of the law "On the Legal Status of Aliens and Stateless Persons." Currently, the detainees are at the Migration Department's temporary accommodation center. According to the agency, relevant procedures are underway for the purpose of their expulsion from Georgia. Imedi+4
