According to him, at this stage, representatives of the European bureaucracy are refraining from dialogue, but if there is appropriate will, the government is ready for discussion. 1TV+3
Kobakhidze emphasized that the European Commission's report, which is based on expert assessments, is politicized and does not correspond to reality. According to the Prime Minister, the public should know the content of the dialogue, therefore negotiations and debates should be conducted publicly and not behind closed doors. The public discussion should cover issues such as democracy, the rule of law, economic issues, and the transparency law. 1TV+5
The Prime Minister also spoke about the importance of sovereignty and dignity in the process of European integration. According to Kobakhidze, Georgia wants to enter the European Union with dignity and the country is not a "puppet." He recalled the Soviet Union period, when decisions were made by Moscow, and noted that such an approach is unacceptable in a democratic society. 1TV+7
