Public School No. 76 opened in Tbilisi with renovated infrastructure

The opening ceremony of Public School No. 76 in the Airport settlement was attended by Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Chairman of the Tbilisi City Assembly Zurab Abashidze, and Vice-Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze. According to the minister, the school is designed for 900 students and welcomes the new academic year with fully renovated infrastructure. 1TV+5

As a result of the work, the educational and outdoor spaces at the school were renovated, two new wings were added to the building, and two outdoor sports fields and an indoor sports hall were set up. The school features a library, an assembly hall, a doctor's office, and a resource room; new engineering and security systems were also installed. The building is adapted for persons with disabilities, specifically, an elevator and a ramp have been installed. Imedi+1

The Minister of Infrastructure noted that the ministry has completed the rehabilitation of 28 public schools for the new academic year, and work on an additional 25 schools will be completed by the end of the year. According to Revaz Sokhadze, the agency is working on completing the projects of schools whose rehabilitation was delayed and aims to change the approaches to managing the process in order to avoid similar delays in the future. 1TV+3
