Apple TV+ released the first official trailer for “Outcome” on Monday, offering audiences an extended look at the dark comedy written and directed by Jonah Hill. The film, which stars Keanu Reeves as a troubled Hollywood icon caught in an extortion scheme, is set to premiere globally on the streaming platform on April 10, 2026.apple
The trailer arrival was teased Sunday on Apple TV+’s social media accounts, with posts reading “Trailer tomorrow” alongside the film’s newly released poster featuring Reeves front and center. The poster lists the film’s stacked ensemble cast, which includes Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Roy Wood Jr., and Kaia Gerber.x
“Outcome” centers on Reef Hawk, played by Reeves, a beloved movie star who has been sober for five years and is forced to confront his past when he learns of a mysterious video that threatens to destroy his career. With help from his lifelong friends Kyle (Diaz) and Xander (Bomer), along with his crisis lawyer Ira (Hill), Reef sets out on what the film’s official synopsis describes as “a soul-searching journey to make amends with anyone he could have possibly wronged in hopes of identifying the blackmailer”.rottentomatoes
Hill, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ezra Woods, described the film’s deeper themes at an Apple TV press event in February. “The movie uses fame as a metaphor for what we all go through living on social media,” Hill said. “Social media has made us obsessed with what people we don’t know think of us, instead of caring about what the people who care about us think of us”.techradar
The project marks Hill’s third directorial effort following “Mid90s” in 2018 and the Netflix documentary “Stutz” in 2022, and represents his most prominent on-screen role in years. It also marks the first time Reeves and Diaz have appeared together in a film since “Feeling Minnesota” in 1996, and follows Diaz’s own return to acting after a decade-long hiatus.wikipedia
Produced by Hill, Matt Dines, and Alison Goodwin under their Strong Baby banner, the film runs one hour and 23 minutes. Scorsese rounds out the cast as Richie “Red” Rodriguez, described as a washed-up agent for young actors.apple
