“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D)” will be distributed by Paramount Pictures in partnership with Darkroom Records, Interscope Films, and Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment. Cameron, known for directing “Titanic,” “Avatar,” and other blockbusters, attended those performances with his film crew.deadline
The timing of the release is notable for Paramount, which recently announced plans to increase its feature film output to at least 15 films in 2026. The studio previously distributed the successful 3D concert film “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” in 2011, which grossed $73 million domestically.variety
The concert film industry has seen recent box office success, most notably with Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” which became the highest-grossing concert film of all time with $261.6 million worldwide. Eilish’s previous concert film, “Live at the O2,” had a limited release in 2023 through Trafalgar Releasing, earning $1.29 million domestically.variety
Cameron’s next film, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” is scheduled for release on December 19, 2025, providing an opportunity to showcase trailers for Eilish’s concert film to large audiences. The director has been advancing 3D technology through his Lightstorm Vision venture, which recently partnered with Meta to scale creation of world-class 3D entertainment.deadline
