The 135th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism was held in Ergneti

The 135th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was held in the village of Ergneti, Gori Municipality. The participants of the meeting discussed the incidents recorded in the occupied region and the territories adjacent to the occupation line since the previous meeting. 1TV+5

According to the State Security Service, the Georgian side strictly demanded that the representatives of the Russian occupation forces guilty of the murder of Tamaz Ginturi be held accountable. Also, the subject of discussion was the restriction of free movement, facts of so-called borderization, and the issue of the release of persons in illegal detention. 1TV+5

According to Irakli Antadze, Deputy Director of the Information-Analytical Department of the State Security Service, no new cases of illegal detention were recorded during the reporting period, although 10 Georgian citizens still remain in the Tskhinvali prison.
