Ukraine Launches TrophyLab Platform to Share Captured Russian Weapons With Allies

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense announced on June 19 the launch of TrophyLab, an access-controlled online platform that catalogs captured Russian military equipment and makes detailed technical intelligence available to allied governments, defense companies, and research institutions. The move formalizes what Kyiv had previously done informally with select partners since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.

A Battlefield R&D Library

“Every missile, drone, and vehicle seized on the battlefield is now a source of knowledge for the free world,” Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov wrote in a post announcing the platform. “What was meant to be the enemy’s secret advantage is being dismantled to defend democracy.”x

The platform, accessible at trophylab.mod.gov.ua, currently contains more than 115 samples of seized Russian equipment organized across 79 categories, according to the Ministry of Defense. The catalog includes components from some of Russia’s most advanced systems, among them the Kinzhal hypersonic missile and the T-90M tank. More than 225 completed intelligence studies from Ukrainian scientific institutes, laboratories, and development centers are also available to registered users.theregister

Access and Testing

Verified users — including Ukrainian military units, domestic defense manufacturers, allied foreign defense ministries, partner-country defense firms, and accredited research institutions — gain round-the-clock access to technical documentation, blueprints, schematics, and vulnerability analyses. Applicants must demonstrate they have no ties to Russia and have not been sanctioned by Ukraine.tech

Beyond digital access, partners can request physical examination of captured hardware. “Several modes of sample analysis are available, from non-destructive inspection to testing that involves full disassembly or destruction of the system,” the Ministry stated. Fedorov said this capability allows engineers to test countermeasure technologies against real enemy equipment, shortening development cycles.pravda

Strategic Implications

The Ministry of Defense framed TrophyLab as a direct contribution to international defense cooperation. “From now on, the entire civilized world will have access to the secrets of Russian weapons and military equipment, helping to stop the enemy and achieve victory in the war,” the Ministry said in its official announcement.x

Ukrainian forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the country’s Security Service will continue feeding data into the platform as new equipment is captured on the battlefield.x
