Accused’s mother confronts prosecutor in Giga Avaliani case

Tamar Navrozashvili, the mother of Nia Imnadze, who was arrested in the Giga Avaliani murder case, confronted prosecutor Ketevan Sonidze while the prosecutor was giving a comment to journalists. The prosecutor stated that if Nia Imnadze's parent had had a real basis and the child had been a victim of harassment, there would have been an appropriate reaction to it. Interpressnews

In response, Nia Imnadze's mother addressed the prosecutor and noted that her child is innocent. According to prosecutor Ketevan Sonidze, the parent of the accused minor was standing close to her, which caused her awkwardness and discomfort. Interpressnews

In the Giga Avaliani death case, the Prosecutor's Office charged Nia Imnadze with incitement to intentional infliction of grave bodily injury by a group.
