Martial law and mobilization in Ukraine extended until January 29, 2027

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved the bills submitted by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by which martial law and general mobilization in the country were extended for 90 days, until January 29, 2027. Under the current rules, the mentioned regime was in effect until October 31. 1TV+3

293 deputies supported the bill on the extension of martial law. Sources are disseminating different information regarding the extension of the mobilization period: according to 1tv, 234 members supported the decision, while imedinews and interpressnews report that the number of supporters was 281. 1TV+2

According to imedinews, 280 deputies supported the immediate signing of the bills by the Speaker of Parliament and their forwarding to the President. According to information from interpressnews, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already signed the laws. According to 1tv, this is the 21st vote held in parliament on the issue of extending martial law and mobilization. Imedi+2
