New medications will become available for patients with Duchenne diagnosis

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at a government meeting that negotiations for the purchase of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy treatment drug "Vamorolone" have concluded positively. Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze noted that the purchase of the medications is in the final stage and the agency is working to make the drugs available to patients as quickly as possible. According to the Prime Minister, another drug for Duchenne treatment, "Givinostat", is already in Georgia and its distribution to patients will begin in the coming days.
