New Mamison border sector building opened in Racha

Minister of Internal Affairs Sulkhan Tamazashvili opened the new building of the "Mamison" border sector of the Java-Oni Division of the Land Border Protection Department of the Border Police in Racha. The construction project for the new border sector building was implemented with the support of the US European Command (EUCOM), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the US Embassy in Georgia, and the Regional Security Office (RSO). Located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level, the border sector is equipped with modern inventory and technology. The building's infrastructure is designed with the local difficult climatic conditions in mind, which creates proper conditions for border guards to perform their official duties.
