Under the new regulation, a special commission of the psychiatric institution will examine once every two months after the ordering of compulsory treatment whether the grounds for treatment still exist. Furthermore, every 6 months after the ordering of compulsory treatment, the institution's administration will submit the commission's decision to the court, which will review the validity of continuing the treatment. The commission's decision, in the case of both compulsory and involuntary psychiatric treatment, is subject to appeal through administrative procedures. Additionally, the attending physician retains the authority to apply to the commission at any time if they believe the patient has recovered ahead of schedule. Publika+1
