Parliament approved the bill on gambling in the third reading
- The Parliament of Georgia adopted the bill "On Organizing Lotteries, Gambling and Profitable Games" in the third reading.

The Parliament of Georgia reviewed the amendments to the law "On Organizing Lotteries, Gambling and Profitable Games" under an expedited procedure and approved them in the third reading. According to 1tv and Formula, 73 parliamentarians supported the initiative, while five voted against it. 1TV+1
According to the explanation of the Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee, Shota Berekashvili, the definition of an international gambling tournament was clarified in the bill, according to which at least 80% of the participants must be citizens of a foreign country. Editorial changes were also made. 1TV+1
Under the new regulation, if the organizer uses a club table only for an international tournament and the prize fund exceeds 3 million GEL, the organizer will be exempted from the gambling business fee. In case of violation of licensing conditions, the permit holder will be fined 50,000 GEL, while the organization of a tournament by an unauthorized person will result in a fine of 150,000 GEL. 1TV+1
