Ruben Rubinyan interrupted Ghazaryan's speech and turned off his microphone on the grounds that the issues being discussed were not related to the agenda. This was followed by a verbal altercation, which escalated into a physical confrontation. According to videos circulated on social networks, the fight continued outside the session hall, in the corridor. Rubinyan himself did not participate in the confrontation. 1TV+4
The session also discussed the Shaki incident, during which an Azerbaijani soldier entered Armenian territory and wounded a woman. Opposition deputy Mariana Ghahramanyan demanded that Rubinyan make a political statement on this issue, to which the speaker replied that the illegal border crossing and shooting were illegal acts. Rubinyan noted that the Azerbaijani side contacted the Armenian side regarding the loss of the soldier, which, according to him, is part of the peace process. OC Media+1
