According to the City Hall's explanation, the burial site shown in the video is intended for the placement of remains of dogs that died on the territory of Tbilisi for various reasons, including disease, traffic accidents, and natural death. The agency also denies the circulated reports that live dogs, which had been specially put to sleep, were placed in the burial site. Interpressnews+2
According to the City Hall, the arbitrary opening of burial sites and the moving of remains by citizens is an illegal act that violates sanitary safety and creates a risk of biological contamination. The agency has already appealed to law enforcement authorities to investigate these actions and take appropriate legal measures. Interpressnews+1
