Party representative Berdia Sichinava justified the motion by stating that the deadline provided by the regulations for the preparation of the response is not being met, which, according to him, violates the rule of procedural fairness. The party requested that the hearing be postponed for one month and that the countdown begin from October 13. The mentioned motion was supported by the parties participating in the process: 'United National Movement', 'Lelo-Strong Georgia', and 'Coalition for Change'. Imedi+2
The plaintiff side, which represents 'Georgian Dream', did not agree with the motion. The Chairman of the Parliament's Legal Issues Committee, Archil Gorduladze, stated that it is not written in the regulations, the organic law, or the Constitution that the failure to submit a response hinders the consideration of the lawsuit. The Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Revaz Nadaraia, noted that the court has the impression that the motion serves to delay the case. Imedi+2
