The Investigative Service arrested three individuals

The Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia has arrested three individuals as a result of operational-search measures. According to the agency, the first case concerns an employee of the Telavi City Hall Municipal Service Center, who demanded and received 500 GEL from a citizen in exchange for performing work with municipal special equipment. The investigation into this case is ongoing under Article 221, Part 3 of the Criminal Code. 1TV+3

In the second case, in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, a zooveterinarian of the National Food Agency has been arrested on charges of commercial bribery committed by a group, having issued laboratory test reports in exchange for a sum of money. This case is being investigated under Article 221, Part 4, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code. 1TV+3

Within the framework of the third case, a doctor at a medical institution has been arrested in the Kakheti region, who prepared and handed over a forged prescription to a citizen for the purchase of a psychotropic substance. The investigation is ongoing under Article 268, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. According to the Investigative Service, the agency will continue preventive measures to curb corrupt deals. 1TV+3
