The National Environmental Agency has carried out monitoring of glacial valleys
- Specialists from the National Environmental Agency have conducted regular monitoring of glacial valleys across the country.
1TV+3 - The purpose of the research is to assess glacial hazards, identify risk zones, and study the processes taking place in glacial valleys.
1TV+3 - During the monitoring process, a bathymetric water drone was used for the first time this year to assess the parameters of glacial lakes.

Specialists from the National Environmental Agency carried out monitoring of glacial valleys by helicopter, through field expeditions, and by using drones. Based on the obtained data, through modern technologies, glacial hazards will be assessed and potential risk zones will be identified. 1TV+3
Against the backdrop of climate change, processes of glacier degradation are taking place in the periglacial zones of the Caucasus, which is expressed in the formation of glacial lakes and changes in moraine massifs. The agency carries out such monitoring in various regions of Georgia annually, and writes that the agency conducts this work every year. 1TV+3
