The Prosecutor’s Office arrested individuals on charges of fraud

The Prosecutor's Office has charged individuals with the fraudulent acquisition of a large amount of money. According to the investigation by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in one case, the accused offered the victim the purchase of a construction company and assistance in obtaining a state land plot, during which time they misappropriated 350,000 GEL. In this case, the court imposed imprisonment as a preventive measure for the accused. Imedi+4

According to other reports by imedinews, there is another case where the accused, together with a member of a criminal group, promised citizens the construction of residential houses and misappropriated 365,273 GEL. In this case, the Prosecutor's Office filed a motion with the court for imprisonment, and the second member of the group has already been sentenced to imprisonment. Imedi+1

In both cases, the accused are charged with a crime under Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for up to 9 years of imprisonment. Imedi+4
