The Prosecutor’s Office has charged 19 individuals

The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has charged 19 individuals, including foreign citizens, for causing large-scale damage to the state budget through deception by an organized group, as well as for the fabrication and use of forged documents. The investigation conducted by the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance established that in 2025-2026, members of the group fictitiously placed 138 vehicles imported from abroad under a re-export regime and did not remove them from Georgia within the established period, which they used for personal gain. As a result of this action, the tax established by law was not paid into the state budget.
