InterpressnewsInterpressnews+2Interpressnews+1During the hearing of the lawsuit regarding the banning of five parties at the Constitutional Court, National Movement representative Zaza Bibilashvili made critical statements regarding the plaintiff side. Bibilashvili expressed interest in what kind of opposition the plaintiff side would like to see for the country in the event that the lawsuit is granted. Interpressnews+1
Bibilashvili cited Giorgi Kobakhidze as an example and noted that in 1991 he was an active member of the political camp acting against Zviad Gamsakhurdia, which supported the military coup. Furthermore, Bibilashvili spoke about the "double standards" used by the plaintiff side and noted that for them, November 7, 2007, and May 26, 2011, are not considered attempts to overthrow the constitutional order, unlike the events of October 4, 2025.
