Three individuals arrested in Guria on charges of preparing for group murder

Employees of the Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of complex police measures, have arrested three individuals. According to the investigation, two of the accused planned the murder of one person based on a past personal conflict and a motive of revenge, for which they contacted the so-called "thief-in-law" currently abroad, Alexander Kurasbediani, nicknamed "Tsripa". According to law enforcement officers, the members of the criminal group determined the details, time, and place of the murder, and brought a person from Tbilisi to Guria to directly carry out the crime, promising him protection in case of arrest. According to the investigation's data, the accused purchased firearms and an explosive device, studied the victim's route of movement, and developed a plan to cover up the crime. As a result of searches, computer equipment, mobile phones, firearms, and ammunition were seized. The investigation is ongoing under Article 18-109, sub-paragraph "i", Article 223-prima, part one, and Article 236 of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 20 years.
