Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang delivered a video address at the opening ceremony of the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing on Monday, describing China as “one of the world’s great centers of technology and industry” and praising the country’s engineers and developers for driving rapid innovation.x
Huang’s remarks came as the CISCE, the world’s first national-level exhibition focused on supply chains, opened its fourth edition, running from June 22 to 26 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. The expo, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, features more than 1,200 exhibitors from across six core supply chain sectors including digital technology, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy.prnewswire
Unlike last year’s third CISCE, where Huang appeared in person wearing a Tang suit and delivered a speech in Mandarin, this year the Nvidia chief executive participated via video. In his address, Huang emphasized that supply chains are more than logistics, calling them global information systems that link energy, factories, logistics, and customers.facebook
The video appearance continues Huang’s sustained courtship of the Chinese market. At last year’s expo in July 2025, he called China’s supply chain “a miracle” and praised the country’s open-source AI as “a catalyst for global progress.” In a May 2025 interview at Computex, Huang described Chinese AI scientists as “world-class,” noting that “50% of the world’s AI researchers are Chinese” and that many work at leading American AI labs including OpenAI and DeepMind.app
Huang also joined President Donald Trump’s business delegation to Beijing in May 2026, meeting with Chinese officials at the Great Hall of the People. He subsequently appeared before the Senate Banking Committee in June amid scrutiny of Nvidia’s China sales strategy and export controls.cnbc
Huang’s continued engagement with China comes as Nvidia navigates the tension between U.S. export restrictions on advanced chips and the commercial importance of the Chinese market. At the 2025 expo, he told reporters that Nvidia was “doing our best” to serve China, calling it “a very important market with dynamic, innovative customers.” The fourth CISCE, with its dedicated AI exhibition zone, underscores Beijing’s ambition to position itself as a defender of open global trade and supply chain cooperation.cgtn
