German humanoid robotics startup Neura Robotics announced on Wednesday a Series C financing round of up to $1.4 billion, marking one of the largest funding rounds for a European robotics company. The investment includes participation from Nvidia, Amazon, Qualcomm, stablecoin issuer Tether, and European industrial firms Bosch and Schaeffler, along with the European Investment Bank.businesswire
The Metzingen-based company said the capital will be used to accelerate its “Physical AI” platform, which combines cognitive robotics with cloud-based training infrastructure to develop humanoid robots capable of perceiving, reasoning, and acting alongside humans.aboutamazon
The round builds on earlier reporting. In March, Bloomberg reported that Neura was raising approximately €1 billion (then about $1.2 billion) in a round led by Tether, with a valuation of roughly €4 billion. The funding has since expanded to up to $1.4 billion, with a valuation now reported at approximately $7 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter cited by Chinese financial outlet Sina Finance.sina
The round also includes backing from a Qatari billionaire, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, who was among the earlier participants alongside Tether when the deal was first reported.mainsights
Neura, founded in 2019 by David Reger, has raised capital rapidly. The company completed a €120 million Series B in January 2025 before securing over $1 billion just over a year later. Its product lineup includes MAiRA, billed as the world’s first cognitive cobot, and 4NE1, a humanoid robot designed for series production.neura-robotics
In April, Amazon Web Services and Neura announced a strategic collaboration under which AWS will serve as the primary cloud provider for Neura’s platform, while Amazon will explore deploying Neura’s robots in select fulfillment centers. The company now counts four of the world’s 10 largest robotics companies among its partners, including Kawasaki.aboutamazon
The investment underscores how rapidly capital is flowing into humanoid robotics. According to data firm Dealroom cited by Sina Finance, global robotics companies have raised $5.58 billion in 2026 alone. Neura competes with well-funded rivals including Figure AI, which raised a $1 billion Series C, and Skild AI, which secured $1.4 billion earlier this year.x
David Reger, Neura’s CEO, has said the company aims to enable “millions of cognitive robots by 2030,” positioning the latest round as a step toward scaling production from pilot systems to industrial deployment.aboutamazon
