In the wake of the shocking deaths of director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, actor Kiefer Sutherland shared poignant memories of working with the Hollywood legend on the 1992 courtroom drama “A Few Good Men” in an upcoming CBS News special airing Sunday.people

Sutherland recalled the day Jack Nicholson delivered the film’s iconic line, “You can’t handle the truth!” in a single breathtaking take. “No one said a word, and Rob went up to Jack Nicholson and whispered in his ear, ‘Do you want to do another one?’ And Jack Nicholson said, ‘Well, we’re here,'” Sutherland told CBS News. “So they did another one, and it was just as extraordinary.”cbsnews

Tragic Deaths Under Investigation

Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 70, were found dead from multiple sharp force injuries in their Brentwood home on December 14. Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, was arrested later that evening and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He appeared briefly in court on December 17, with his arraignment continued to January 7, 2026.nbcnews
